The Missing Stories: Why Our History Matters Now More Than Ever

The 2019 I Am Impact Summit presents an immersive multimedia presentation showcasing rare and unique archival materials to illuminate the important history of South Asians in the United States. This presentation explores the linkages between past and present, from landmark moments such as the 1923 U.S. Supreme Court decision that barred South Asians from becoming American citizens to the 1956 election of the first South American to the U.S. Congress, Representative Dalip Singh Saund. The unfolding of history and its missing stories.
