They were also invited to a dinner in her honor held on July 22, 1949.

Ram Chandra was shot and killed by a member of a rival faction of the Ghadar Party during the Hindu-German Conspiracy Trial (1917).

A letter dated October 21, 1949 from Swami Ashokananda to Godha Ram Channon, Secretary of Pand Jawahaelal Nehru’s Reception Committee. The typed letter enclosed a $25 check to help cover expenses of the reception. The letter also contains a handwritten reply from Channon thanking him and asking for representatives of Ashokananda to help with the reception.
