"APSA Honors Wally Herger"; "British Parliamentarian Visiting L.A. Supports Sikh Human Rights"

Two newspaper clippings featured in the scrapbook of Dr. Amarjit Marwah.

The first, an article from World Sikh News entitled "APSA Honors Wally Herger" and dated November 17, 1989, discusses a gala held by the Chicago-based Association of Sikh Professionals in honor of California Representative Wally Herger, who advocated on behalf of Sikhs during the Punjab Crisis in India. The second, an article from L.A. India entitled "British Parliamentarian Visiting L.A. Supports Sikh Human Rights" and dated May 19, 1989, describes a visit to California by Terry Dicks, a member of the British House of Commons who supported the rights of Sikhs in India. Dr. Marwah hosted MP Dicks for a dinner event in his Malibu home, and his introduction of Dicks is quoted in the article.
