DESCRIPTION
This copy of the India Welfare League, Inc. publication, The New India Bulletin, is part of the Senate Committee on Immigration's records regarding S. 236, a bill to permit all people from India residing in the United States to be naturalized. This edition of the Bulletin consists of the text of a speech given by Mubarek Ali Khan, League founder and president, on July 31, 1945 in New York City. In the speech, Khan discusses his views on S.236 and other legislation to naturalize natives of India, relations between Hindus and Muslims, and the politics of the Independence Movement in India.
