"Another Little War?"

DESCRIPTION
Article published in the July 4, 1948 issue of The Independent India titled, "Another Little War?" by A.K. Pillai. Pillai criticizes Indian leaders for continuing to pressure the Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad to abrogate his sovereignty even after negotiating a common defense policy between the two polities. Given the Nizam’s agreement to come to the aid of the Indian Union in the event of an emergency, Pillai questions the motives of Indian politicians demanding complete control of Hyderabad’s internal affairs.
