DESCRIPTION
India Abroad article, dated August 9, 1990, written by Ajit Jain, describes how Dr. R. Balakrishnan and H. Ram are coordinating demonstrations to bring attention to the worsening AIDS health crisis in India. Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention and India AIDS Action planned a demonstration on August 13 outside Indian Consulate in Toronto, CA. The demonstrations were critical of an Indian Government-sponsored AIDS Prevention Bill.
