Letter from Har Dayal to Van Wyck Brooks in Connecticut dated January 9, 1939, in which Dayal thanks Brooks and his wife for their generous hospitality. An interesting feature of the letter is the discrepancy between the address on the letter -- 701 Park Manor Aps, 40th St. & Girard Ave, Phila (Pa) -- and the postmark and stamp on the letter, which appears to be from Sweden.

UC Hears Liaquat Ali
Newspaper clipping from the San Francisco Chronicle entitled “UC Hears Liaquat Ali.” The article documents a speech given by Pakistani Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan at the University of California - Berkeley in May of 1950. Khan spoke to 2500 students in UC’s Greek Theatre and warned his audience that “only those who make war can primarily maintain peace.”

Godha Ram Channon Reception Invitation

The reception was held at 1830 Sutter Street in San Francisco (the site of the Japanese YWCA) and organized by Rama Murphy, along with a committee that included K.L. Dixit and Mrs. Ram Chandra.
