Fram Haveliwala Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA's ACFP 2021-2022. This interviewee described his migration experience to the United States from Karachi, Pakistan. As a very young child, his migration experience was described based upon family conversations and memories he remembers of coming to Houston, Texas.
Anahita Sidhwa Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA's ACFP 2021-2022. This interviewee discussed her childhood life and neighborhood in Karachi, Pakistan, her experience as an international student in 1975 at the East-West Center in Hawaii. She shared memories of moving with her husband to Oklahoma and eventually settling down in Coppell Dallas, Texas since 1980.
Meher Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA'S ACFP 2021-2022. This interviewee discussed her early life in Bombay, India. She described her memories of her childhood neighborhood and family life. She also shared her migration experience of coming to the United States on August 15th, 1990 and working as a librarian in Santa Rosa.
Tahmoures Hormozdyaran Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA's ACFP 2021-2022. This interviewee discussed his early childhood and family life in Karachi, Pakistan, moving to a Parsi neighborhood as well as childhood memories of being a Zoroastrian in Yazd, Iran. He shared experiences of him and his family migrating to the U.S. and settling down in Centreville, Virginia for 30 or so years.
Roshni Rustomji-Kerns Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA's ACFP 2021-2022. This interviewee discussed her early childhood and family life in Karachi and Mumbai before and after the Partition of India and Pakistan. She described the differences and similarities of being brought up as a Parsi woman in India and Pakistan.
Kayhan, Teshtar, and Noshir Irani Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA's ACFP 2021-2022. In this two part interview, the interviewees as a family shared their memories of moving to Queens, New York City from Mumbai, India forty or so years ago. They shared their memories of childhood and family life in Mumbai and Queens as well as their memories of growing up in the local Zoroastrian community of New York.
Ms. Be the Change Oral History Interview
The interview was conducted as part of SAADA's ACFP 2021-2022. This interviewee discussed her early life in Chennai, India and described the small Zoroastrian community she grew up in. She described her migration experience from India to the United States, residing in New Jersey for the past 40 or so years.
Fiza Oral History Interview
Fiza is a pseudonym used to protect the identity of the interviewee. Fiza is an Afghan-American woman who immigrated to U.S. in 2003 through the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) after living for over a decade as an undocumented immigrant in Pakistan. She talks about the hardships that she faced throughout her life.


Angela Nawang Oral History Interview
Angela Nawang speaks about her experience growing up in boarding school in India and coming to New York, limitations of identity, and multiple marginalizations.

Pabitra Khati Benjamin Oral History Interview
Pabitra Khati Benjamin speaks about her childhood, moving to the US as a child, going back to Nepal with more privilege, and her journey to become an organizer. She reflects on race, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and the relative privilege Asians have compared to Black, Native American, and Latinx communities.
