DESCRIPTION
In this update on the Class of 1918, portions of a letter written by Kamala (Cornelius) Asirvatham to college president Helen Coolidge describe the impact of the death of her infant daughter, the application of her studies under Miss Meloy in social service work in Lucknow among members of different castes, and a discussion of the practice of purdah among women in Northern India.
