Letter from United States Attorney to William Todd, Esq.
DESCRIPTION
Letter dated December 27, 1917 from U.S. Attorney to William Todd, Esq. regarding an article published in a Honolulu paper and copied extracts from Capt. Grasshoff’s diary. The Attorney notes that the diary extracts “will probably lead to later prosecutions,” but complains that the newspaper made an inaccurate statement about a witness in the 1917 Hindu German Conspiracy Trial that contributed unfairly to the witness’ defamation.
