Biography of L. Vaishno Das Bagai

DESCRIPTION
A 2-page biography of Vaishno Das Bagai that narrates his background in Peshawar, his migration to the U.S. in 1915, and his involvement in the Gadar Party. The biography indicates that in Peshawar, Bagai was friends with K.R. Sabarwal and Pandit Ram Chandra, the editor of Gadar. While a business in the import-export line, Bagai donated to the Gadar Party, becoming a "tool in the hands of his so-called friend Pt. Ram Chandra." The biography also explains that Bagai received citizenship in 1920, but lost it in 1924 due to the Act of Congress that barred all "Asiatics" from citizenship. This eventually led to his suicide in March 1928, in San Jose, California.
