DESCRIPTION
The October 1924 issue of the United States of India (Vol. 2, No. 4) published from the former Gadar headquarters on No. 5 Wood Street, San Francisco featured two major articles: "Pandit Motilal Nehru's Speech at Ceremony of Univeiling Statue of Tilak," which includes an extensive biography of Indian nationalist Bal Gangadhar Tilak, and "The British Empire" by Thos A. Jackson, who takes apart the racial hierarchies that structure British colonial rule. Interspersed throughout the issue are various short news reports.
