DESCRIPTION
The June 1918 issue of Young India (Vol. 1, No. 6) opens with an editorial that traces various news stories relating to the Home Rule in India movement, as well as the Hindu-German Conspiracy Trial. Articles in this issue include "What Is Beautiful?" by Ananda Coomaraswamy, "The Woman in India: A Historical Review" by Lajpat Rai, "Some Modern Reform Movements of India" by K.D. Shastri, and "Fiscal Freedom and Protection for India" by "N," a post-graduate Indian student studying at an American University.

The Officers for the India Home Rule of America for 1918 are listed as follows: Lajpat Rai (President and Treasurer), J.T. Sunderland (Vice-President), K.D. Shastri (Organizing Secretary), N.S. Hardiker (Executive Secretary). Councillors for the year are also listed: Henrietta Rodman of the India Group of the New York Civic Club, J.A. Setna, K.B. Kichlu, R.L. Bajpai, A.P. Warrington, and H.K. Rakshit.
