DESCRIPTION
The November 1916 issue of The Hindusthanee Student (Vol. 3, No. 2), published from the Nalanda Club in Urbana, Illinois. The issue opens with a note from University of Michigan president H.B. Hutchins, welcoming Hindu students to the university. Essays and editorials in the issue includes "On the Contributions of India to Human Civilization" by Jacob Kunz, "Criticism of 'Chinese Religion through Hindu Eyes'" by Suh Hu, "The Mysore University" by M.G.S. Rao, "Lingua Nationale Del Hind" by V.R. Kokatnur, and "Bee-Culture" by Ballav Das Jarjani. In addition to a portrait of University of Michigan President Hutchins, the issue contains a picture of Ballav Dass, a member of the H.A.A.
