Rajinder Bhalla was originally from Ferozepur, Punjab, India. Bhalla received a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Punjab and served in the Indian Army from 1953 to 1973. After an assignment to the United States and Australia, Bhalla decided to return to the United States in 1961.
