Introducing SAADA's First Days Project
JUNE 17, 2013A first day is so much more than just one day. The first day in a new country can be full of excitement, nervousness, loss, humor, sadness, anticipation, confusion, and a mixture of many other emotions. One day can encapsulate both what has come before and what will come after.
Today we are very excited to launch SAADA's First Days Project, an effort to document and share stories from South Asian Americans about their first day in the United States. Stories can be submitted as video or audio (up to 3 minutes) or text (maximum 300 words). You can submit your own story or interview a family member or friend about their first day. Submissions will be accepted until July 31, 2013!
