For The First Time In Our Lives
NOVEMBER 23, 2015Hari Bhandari spent her entire childhood in a refugee camp in Jhapa, in the eastern part of Nepal.
At the age of nineteen, Hari, her mother, her older sister, and nearly 150 others from her camp were given the opportunity to come to the US for resettlement. They made the long journey from Kathmandu to Paris, to New Jersey, and finally to St. Louis, where they would make a new home for themselves.
