Program Coordinator Role:
The Program Coordinator is a dynamic and ever-evolving role within our organization, playing a vital part in delivering on SAADA’s mission, deepening our impact, and fostering meaningful connections with South Asian American communities across the country. You will report to and work closely with SAADA’s Program Manager to develop and execute innovative programs and initiatives that align with our organization’s long-term vision, working on programs such as the First Days Project, the Revolution Remix Walking Tour, and our Archival Creators Fellowship Program.

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. Responsibilities Include:
Working closely with the Program Manager to ensure SAADA programs and projects are successful and deliver on key outcomes:
- Assisting with monitoring project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Assisting with project documentation, system improvement, and workflow documentation
- Digitizing and processing materials for the archive, with meticulous attention to detail
- Creating descriptive metadata for archival materials
- Assisting with volunteer recruitment and retention, and tracking volunteer participation in programs and events
- Identifying community organizations, educational institutions, and other partners to enhance SAADA’s outreach and impact
- Maintaining program databases and records, ensuring accuracy and integrity
- Providing data analysis to support strategic planning
- Ensuring timely responses to inquiries
Supporting the planning and execution of workshops, conferences, and events, both in-person and virtual:
- Coordinating logistics, such as venue selection, catering, and equipment setup
- Assisting with creating meeting and event agendas, capturing outcomes, preparing materials, taking notes, and following up on action items
- Arranging group travel plans and coordinating with local vendors
- Providing technical support for online events
- Creating descriptive metadata for archival materials
- Troubleshooting event-related issues
Other Responsibilities:
- Pursuing professional development opportunities and trainings
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
Experience
- Strong background in program and event coordination with at least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
- Critical attention to detail and organizational and project management skills
- Experience with grant funded projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships within South Asian American communities
- Available for occasional weekend/evening meetings and events (2-3 times/month) and time-sensitive deadlines
