SAMAR Magazine Issue #5 (Summer 1995)
The Summer 1995 issue of SAMAR (No. 5), subtitled “Black or White or What,” examines the intersection of racial politics and the South Asian Community. The issue includes contributions from Arvind Rajagopal, Karen Leonard, Khurram Hassan, Somini Sengupta, Nirmal Selvamony, S. Shankar, Jael Silliman, Balmurli Natrajan, Ram Vilas Paswan, Kanishka Ratnayaka, Samaresh Basu, Nabeel Zuberi, Sameer Chatterjee, Aamir Rehman, and Abdul Farooq Shahid. It also contains an interview by Chandana Mathur with Mallika Sarabhai and a profile by Naheed Islam on Shiraj Uddin.
