Immigration File for Golab Deen



DESCRIPTION
Immigration case file for Golab Deen (Case File No. 12768/16-1). Deen arrived in San Francisco aboard the S.S. Nile on July 1, 1913. On July 3, Deen was interrogated by a board including Inspectors F.H. Ainsworth, W.H. Tomkins, R.E. Peabody, and Interpreter Nasir Khan. Deen indicates that he was born in Afghanistan, and planned to go to Oakland. Two of his brothers resided in North America: Russian Deen, who lived in Oakland and was present during the inspection as a witness, and and the other, Feroz Deen, who lived in Canada. At the conclusion of the interrogation, the board voted unanimously to admit Deen.
