Nuwan Gunawardhana Oral History Interview

Ramesh Soundarajan Oral History Interview
Born in Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Dr. Ramesh Soundarajan was inspired by his father to practice medicine. After immigrating the United States, he established himself as a practicing nephrologist for over 30 years in the South Suburbs of Chicago.
Abhisake Kole Oral History Interview
Abhisake (Abhi) Kole was born in Calcutta, India and grew up in Maryland, USA. He pursued his bachelors in Statistics and Economics at George Washington University where his interest in the economic toll of untreated chronic illnesses through economic development inspired his desire to attain an MD/PhD.
Naman Shah Oral History Interview
Naman Shah’s South Asian roots have always inspired his passion for work in health equity. He works tirelessly to advance social justice through improved policy and service delivery. Trained as an NIH physician-scientist specializing in family medicine and infectious disease epidemiology, Naman has worked to improve health and well-being in varied settings.
Roshni Patel Oral History Interview
Roshni Patel is a first generation daughter of Gujarati parents who immigrated initially to Hackensack, NJ and then northern VA in the 70's for an opportunity to give more to the next generation. Observing her grandparents and parents navigate a foreign world instilled a sense of compassion and a desire to work with purpose.
