A letter dated October 21, 1949 from Swami Ashokananda to Godha Ram Channon, Secretary of Pand Jawahaelal Nehru’s Reception Committee. The typed letter enclosed a $25 check to help cover expenses of the reception. The letter also contains a handwritten reply from Channon thanking him and asking for representatives of Ashokananda to help with the reception.

Mahesh was a close friend of Vaishno and Kala Bagai before Vaishno's death in 1928. This letter was written at the same time as a letter by Kala Chandra, also reminiscing about Vaishno Das Bagai.
