"Statement of Solidarity with I.P.A.N.A"
This statement was issued by the India Forum during a public rally in Vancouver, the General Convention. The statement describes the organization’s solidarity with the Indian People’s Association of North America, and states that “since 1947 the plight of the overwhelming majority of the Indian people has worsened and the gap between the rich and the poor has continued to widen.”

Titled “India: ‘Democracy’ Under a Relaxed Emergency?”, the press release criticizes Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s relaxation of Emergency measures in early 1977 as a politically expedient ploy for votes in the March 1977 election.

Statement of support for the “Walk for Human Rights” issued by the Committee of Concerned Indian Students (CCIS) and the Committee for Human Rights at the University of California at Berkeley, September 1976. The walk raised awareness about sanctions the Indian government imposed on Indian American students who spoke out against Indira Gandhi’s administration.
"Treatment of AIDS Patients in India Protested"

India Abroad article, dated August 9, 1990, written by Ajit Jain, describes how Dr. R. Balakrishnan and H. Ram are coordinating demonstrations to bring attention to the worsening AIDS health crisis in India. Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention and India AIDS Action planned a demonstration on August 13 outside Indian Consulate in Toronto, CA.
