Abhisake Kole Oral History Interview
Abhisake (Abhi) Kole was born in Calcutta, India and grew up in Maryland, USA. He pursued his bachelors in Statistics and Economics at George Washington University where his interest in the economic toll of untreated chronic illnesses through economic development inspired his desire to attain an MD/PhD.

Naman Shah’s South Asian roots have always inspired his passion for work in health equity. He works tirelessly to advance social justice through improved policy and service delivery. Trained as an NIH physician-scientist specializing in family medicine and infectious disease epidemiology, Naman has worked to improve health and well-being in varied settings.
Jini Valiaveetil Oral History Interview
Jini Valiaveettil is a Malayalee American nurse based in Los Angeles. For many years, she resisted what she believed to be a "Malu trope" of becoming a nurse, but after years of working in human resources and with a desire to build her own family, Jini reassessed her career.
Remembering Mira Bhupendra Shah (1954-2020)
Mira Bhupendra Shah (7/28/54-4/13/20). Born in Baroda, India. Daughter of Sharda and Rajnikant Shah, wife of Bhupendra Shah to be succeeded by daughters Bindiya, Malvi and Roshni Shah. Emigrated to America in 1980 and settled in the south suburbs of Chicago. Her spirit and personality embraced people of every language, age, color and religion. She was beloved by all who met her.
Vaccine Advocacy
After moving back to the states, Naman Shah jumped into public health work. He designed and implemented the vaccine rollout for LA County.
