Immigration File for Tulsi Ram



DESCRIPTION
Immigration arrival investigation case file for Tulsi Ram (Case File No. 12650/007-02). Detained at Angel Island, Ram arrived to the Port of San Francisco on the S.S. Mongolia on April 22, 1913. He is interviewed by Inspectors W.N. Swasey, W.H. Clendenin, W.H. Chadney, with the assistance of Interpreter D. Dady Burjos. Ram explains his birth place in the Ludhiana District of Punjab, and plans to go to San Francisco and subsequently Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He also explains that he is accompanied by Sant Ram (Case File No. 12650/007-01). At the conclusion of the interrogation, the committee is of unanimous opinion that Ram be admitted. The file contains a photograph of Tulsi Ram.
